Practical Information

When? The Summer School will take place from 21 to 25 June 2021.

Where? The Summer Academy will be held remotely this year. Timing in the programme refers to CET (Brussels time).

Language? English.

For whom? The summer academy is aimed at legal practitioners, public and private sector data protection professionals (including compliance officers, data protection officers, data policy officers, civil society professionals,  academic researchers and others who work in the areas of privacy and data protection law).

Prior familiarity with the field is required.

How to register? Places are limited in order to guarantee the best possible experience for all participants. If you wish to enrol, please express your interest by sending a short motivation letter (max half a page) and a biography (max half page) to Ms Alessandra Calvi (alessandra.calvi@vub.be) by 7 May 2021.

Selected participants will be able to register after confirmation, to be received by 21 May 2021.

ECTS? Attendees will be awarded a certificate of attendance and 4 ECTS.

21 May 2021 - participants will be informed about the result of the selection procedure

31 May 2021 – deadline for registration & payment for selected participants

Registration fees:

Professionals: 1050 €

Early Career Academics: 825 €

Civil Society: 600 € 

Cancellation policy:

• Notice of cancellation must be given in writing.
  
• Cancellation less than two weeks before the beginning of the Summer Academy: no refund available.
